Nicholas had a babysitter tonight, so The Husband and I escaped to run a few errands and grab a quick bite to eat. So I sat out of the ARF/5-A-Day roundup, but no worries, there are plenty of others who joined in this week.
We were in the area of iHOP tonight, so ended up there for dinner. The place was packed; I’ve never had to wait on a weeknight. When the manager seated us, I asked about it, and he reminded us … Senior Citizen Discount Tuesday. “Ahh, gotcha, does that mean we get a discount too?” I asked, joking. He laughed as he handed us our menus. At the end of our meal, the waitress brought over the check, and as I was going over it, I noticed The Husband’s entree and his salad were 50% off. So either the manager made a very nice gesture, or the waitress thought The Husband qualified for the senior citizen discount. A thought he didn’t think was nearly as hilarious as I did! He’s only 4 years older than me, and far from his twilight years – too funny, but still a $9 discount. No matter the reason, I’ll take it.
Until tomorrow…

Beautiful job, Cate, as alweays.
It will be a challenge to keep finding new ARFs in the winter months, but I will do what I can!
Ha! Depending on the “Senior” age, my parents could qualify…hmmmm.
Thanks, Chocolate Lady – always fun to see what you bring to the round-up.
Claire – that may be true, but The Husband is only 40. Still a few more years to go. ;)
Ooops…I can see why he wasn’t amused! :-)
