And my kids? Love making crafts. I try and do a weekly craft with them. They’d be far happier with a daily craft.
When we had our Blogger Valentine’s Feast this weekend, I figured it would be the perfect time to make a quick and easy new craft, perfect for the younger girls, yet not too lame for the older boys.
Inspired by Meg at Whatever, I love that this one uses basic supplies, requires little adult supervision, and heck, who am I kidding, involved rainbows.
And if that isn’t enough, it sure is making our back door super bright and cheerful.
Using white paper plates, cut them in half. Although you can use watercolors, we played it safe with markers this time. Let the kids paint or color their rainbow, and then affix the matching streamers to the back of the plate. Hang and enjoy. Stupid simple, right? I had the streamers on hand from another project a few months back, but you can also find them at your local dollar store. For hanging purposes, I used scrap ribbon.
