Day Four – St. Thomas

by Cate on October 10, 2006

Pirate NightEither you guys are astoundingly good at geography or the clues were too easy. Congrats to all who guessed correctly … and Dani, send me your address and the Donna Hay book is yours.

The slower-than-dial-up connection is slower than usual, so no long commentary tonight, just some pictures in review … and clues for our next destination. Another copy of Donna Hay’s Christmas book is up for grabs for the first correct guess in the comments section (no guessing, Dani) – good luck!

Until tomorrow…

P.S. As always, you can see the pictures in bigger detail by clicking on them.

Look at the cute little pirate! I say St. Martin. BTW, what is the food in the picture? It looks like some kind of dessert.

Looks like you’re having a fabulous time … I’m so jealous! :-)

My guess for your next stop is St. Martin.

Aww it looks like y’all are having an AMAZING time!

I’m gonna guess St. John? More specifically – Cinnamon Bay? Yum, I love Cinnamon =)

ahhh, St. Maarten! Love it – I could live there! We enjoyed that island so MUCH when we were there. My teenage DS expecially enjoyed the beaches, much to the horror of his mother! LOL

Does spelling count? LOL
I’ll give it a shot since I’ve been there….Philipsburg, St. Maarten.
Have a great time….

Oh, I forgot to add…make sure you have a guavaberry colada at one of the street stands! YUM!

It looks like a fabulous trip! We did a cruise on our honeymoon, and I hope to do another one someday! The pictures look wonderful!

Love the photos and commentary.

What is the temperature on the islands?
Hope you continue to enjoy smooth
Neighbors aunties,

That’s St. Maartin! We are still drinking the guavaberry liqour from our honeymoon!

I got married down in St. Thomas (honeymoon on St. John)

Again, I got beat to it, (and I was wrong last time, anyway…) but I think it’s St John, USV.

St. Kitts?

Cate October 10, 2006 at 6:32 pm

Claire – mmmm, delicious French Toast. We ended up in the Dining Room for breakfast yesterdan and today. It’s fluffy, thick and soft and coated with cinnamon sugar. Delish!

Cate October 10, 2006 at 6:34 pm

Rita and Marilyn – Hot, hot, hot, but still gorgeous nonetheless.

Barbara (Biscuit Girl) October 10, 2006 at 7:24 pm

St. Marteen is your next stop.

St. Maarten?

I’ve enjoyed reading your site, but haven’t ever posted… I’m going to guess Dominican Republic? Have a great trip!

Dani October 14, 2006 at 2:07 am

Cate, I only give you my adress if I can finally send you something back too ;-) I start feeling bad winning all those books

Looks like you guys are having a fantastic time. Hopefully DH and I will finally go on a very, very belated Honeymoon next year. We just never found time with him being at work all the time. But he promised me if I ace my Wine Managment Class, he will take me to Napa Valley (and maybe even French Laundry).

Oh well, enjoy the sun and send some to Chiacago! We had snow yesterday for the first time!
