What an amazingly glorious weekend! Date night with Nick on Friday night, time with girlfriends, foodie field trips, super productivity around the house and many, many meals eaten outside. Spring is officially here and we couldn’t be more pleased. In the interest of not being one of those dreaded bloggers or facebookers who write about perfect, rosy lives, this weekend also had six kids in my house for six hours on Friday (ack!) including a seven year old who had an accident here and a serious discussion about a note written from a pint-size guest with inappropriate words. And I think I only yelled at my kids twice. We’re all about the balance here, folks. On with the pictures!

Loving my new sunglassses! I’ve been looking for an aviator/cop style for the past year, but couldn’t find the perfect one. Luckily Nick and I had a bit of a wait for our table on Friday night, which was just enough time to peek into Loft and score these beauties.
Nick and The Ex are fans of IKEA‘s cinnamon rolls. I swear that store must pipe in the fresh-baked scent near the registers. I would be remiss if I didn’t pick up a few for them as we left.
I haven’t had red meat in weeks, though not by design, and was dying for a burger. The more toppings, the better.
And the messier, the better. Just not happy unless it is dripping through my fingers.
My little weirdos. They provided quite a bit of entertainment at dinner last night, both for us and the other diners.

Last night, after dinner, we went out to take pictures of the moon, and I’m so glad we did. What an amazing surface it had and it was so cool that we could see it so well. It was a “super moon,” and this is the closest it was expected to be to the earth this year. The way it lit up the sky, and the waters in our lake community was quite thrilling, and I’m glad we went on the adventure to check it out and get some shots.
Well with six kids at your house at once you knew ONE of them was going to have an accident – Murphy’s law and all that :P
Sounds like a great weekend nonetheless…brownies, burgers, good quality time with the kids…SPRING. Sigh. Love it!
LOL…my ex ran the duct work for the Sam’s Club in North Jackson. That’s exactly what they did. The duct from the baker/deli ran straight to the front walk in area….
great looking sushi!
Oh, you’re so right about IKEA. I haven’t been there in years but can conjure that heavenly aroma in a second.
Looks like a fun weekend — and now I’m coveting a burger, too!
Looks like a fun weekend! Will and Paige were checking out the pics of Nicholas and Madeline, and talking about our picnic last summer. So much fun, it was.
Love your new glasses, too! Very cute on you.
I LOVE Fairway — especially the ones outside of the city. I seriously could spend hours in their (and have!). It feels like they have everything… finding new products brings me such joy.
