In the Pink

by Cate on October 1, 2006

If you had difficulty reaching my site earlier today – apologies! Turns out I exceeded my bandwidth (too many visitors!) and needed to upgrade the site. That’s certainly a good problem to have!

October is just hours away, and that means that Breast Cancer Awareness Month is nearly upon us. Want to support a good cause and pick up a trendy PINK! designer lunchbag while you’re at it? The folks at Lean Cuisine have made that possible. They are offering stylish designer insulated lunchbags, each for $9.95, which is a steal considering it includes shipping and handling. Five dollars of every bag purchased goes towards the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and if that doesn’t give you enough warm-and-fuzzies to make your small purchase, wait ’till you see the bags! Complete details are here. I already ordered mine. They’ve raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars so far with these lunchbags, and supplies are limited, so hop to it!

During the month, I’ll be featuring more PINK! kitchen and food products you might desperately need … all for a good cause.

Until tomorrow…

A year ago today … randomness.

P.S. There’s still a few days to get in your submission for I’ll Show You Mine, If You Show Me Yours #5. This time around, the theme is showing us your “go to” dish for entertaining. You don’t have to actually make the recipe, but if you do, all the better. Is it a dessert that you serve again and again to rave reviews? A main course? A drool-inducing winner of an appetizer? Post about it and send me the link to be included in the I’ll Show You Mine If You Show Me Yours #5 roundup this week.

Cate, thanks for the heads up on the bags. I just ordered two! One for me and one to give to someone else! Hopefully, this will replace the ugly blue (but useful!) bag that the medical center gave me when I interviewed for school two years ago!

I just ordered my bag (the one you pictured) this morning from Lean Cuisine. Looking forward to what else you’ll show us this month.

Love the bags! I ordered mine about a month ago, so I should be getting it soon. I have been taking my lunch in a plastic bag (embarassing!) I needed something a bit nicer, and this fit.

Claire – you can’t beat the price, and I love that 50% of the money is donated.

Robyn and anonymous – they’ve been going fast! When I ordered mine a few weeks ago, all three styles were available. They’re too cute not to be popular. ;)

I ordered mine!!! I’m going to need it after our vacation. I’ll be eating a lot of Lean Cuisines.

Can’t wait.
