Placemats, Tablecloths, Napkins …
Posted by Cate under Narrative
Not the fact that I spent an hour last night painstakingly reorganizing all my placemats, napkins, tablecloths and tablerunners.
Not the fact that I actually spent extra time to group like things together and like colors together.
Not the fact that I edited my supply and came up with a nice stack for friends and family to pick through.
Not the fact that no matter how many pieces I have a) I always feel like I could add more at any time and b) I never seem to have exactly what I’m looking for for the specific occasion I’m setting the table for.
But the fact that just as I closed the cabinet door, pleased with myself on a job well done, I stumbled upon a whole ‘nother box of placemats, napkins and tablecloths left to still unpack! Ack!

HA! I’m sorry to hear that. Where did you get your collection? I always check thrift stores for anything cute, but it’s one of those items that I don’t let myself indulge in too often and I usually just cook for myself.

From that photo, you look pretty organized!

You know I have that same problem right now. Just when I think I’m finished putting some such thing away BAM! a new box appears and I have no more room to put more stuff. It’s so dang frustrating!
Hope you’re able to find room for your box of stuff.

You go on girl, unpack that other box and organise, it’s what I’d do :)

Kelly - hmm, all over the place really. I keep an eye on Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn clearance sections of their websites (Pier 1 too). I always feel like I never have enough, so presents from family too. Our first house was close to a Dansk outlet, so I used to get a bunch there in their clearance section too. And hey, just because it’s just you doesn’t mean you can’t treat yourself. ;)
Tastetv - lol, for now. ;)
Alisha - it’s like they mate behind our back, right?
Anonymous - :)
Cynthia - sigh … next weeks’ project.
