Holiday Cards {Shutterfly Giveaway!}

by Cate on November 17, 2012

10620_FPS_1_HeroCard_HandDrawn_309Next week, I have a few goals.

Make the cranberry conserve and one appetizer to bring to my sister’s for Thanksgiving.

Go Black Friday shopping with the kids. We don’t get up crazyearly, but they really enjoy it, and it’s something we started a few years ago.

Get *the* holiday picture for our Christmas cards.

And that last one? That’s the major one. Because I want to get it done and crossed off, so I can get them in the mail and not run around like a crazy person stuffing and sealing envelopes the week before Christmas.

I think I can. I think I can. I think I can.

Lucky for me, the folks at Shutterfly are ready to help. Both of us!

They have many great tips on their family photo site right here … some of my favorite family photos are those unscripted moments. The “just real life” ones. And photos are one of my favorite gifts to both give and receive. They are sentimental, heaped with meaning, and really cut straight through to the core of what is important. And these days, when we don’t have as much time as we’d like to put all our photos in albums, I love giving albums of photos I’ve taken over the year. It doesn’t get more personal than that, does it?

Which reminds me, I need to get cracking on our *own* photo albums. I do one a year, highlighting all the best memories, big and small, that we have had together. It’s fun to look back on what we’ve done, seen, or been through, because life is so busy, we quickly forget.

Over the years, I’ve placed many orders with Shutterfly, and the speed and value can’t be beat. Now, how about a not-so-little giveaway to help you with some of your holiday card and gift-giving needs?

I dressed each of them in the same red M&M costume that I still have to this day.. They were so adorable.”

Please drop me a line at cate AT sweetnicks DOT com so we can get your gifts out to you – Congrats!

Oh wow! What was my favorite shutterfly project?! I guess it was my very first one of my trip to NYC. But I’m doing new ones recently since I’m gaining a family soon…and will have to do a quick one for Thanksgiving. :-)

Last year for Christmas my sister gave me a coffee mug with pictures of my nephews on it. I love that mug. Every time I use it I think of my adorable nephews, who I see only once or twice a year. I use it all the time, and it’s held up beautifully. So my favorite Shutterfly product is the coffee mug. Such a great idea.

Oh, I am a Shutterfly ADDICT! I absolutely love their products and think I’ve ordered just about one of everything over the years, haha. My absolute favorite are the photo books, though. I’ve never gotten so much feedback on a gift in my life. I made one from a recent trip for my boyfriend’s parents, and they were ecstatic. The quality is outstanding, and they’re just so much fun to make — especially compared to just printing photos and sticking them in a book! Love them!
