Quick, three ingredient oat bars that will leave you wanting more.
The kids are big fans of granola bars.
So is their Mom.
Great grab-and-go item to shove in their hand on the way out the door to catch the bus.
Perfect filler snack after school that won’t ruin their appetite before dinner.
And, for the most part, guilt-free.
As long as you avoid most of the ones from the grocery store.
The best way to guarantee they’re guilt-free?
Make ’em yourself.
And with this recipe, why wouldn’t you?
Three ingredients, completely dummy proof, and downright delicious.
The basic recipe is below, but you could certainly add little bits and bobs to play with the flavors even more. Dried cranberries, for example, would be an awesome tangy addition, or even mini chocolate chips. If you want it a little less sweet, cut back on the honey a bit.
The only caveat is that they need to be refrigerated when you’re not gobbling them down, so they’re not meant for travel or road trips. They get too soft too quickly.
Other than that? Have at it.
