Can you believe some stores opened at 4 am to kick off the holiday shopping season today? Seriously. Crazy! I skipped braving any “door buster” retail locations today and enjoyed the ghost-towns the likes of Shop Rite, Costco and Blockbuster. Even if you stay home today, there are plenty of deals online that you can take advantage of, and Amazon is just one of the many choices.

Did you know that JCPenney’s in KC opened at 3am. That is just crazy.
I really should ask for a new KitchenAid for Xmas…my old, tattered KA was passed down from my mom. A couple of weeks ago, he fell while trying to knead some dough and cracked his head open!

Not only did some stores open at 3 & 4 AM, the outlet mall near us opened at MIDNIGHT.
The grocery store was the only one I set foot in.
I didn’t venture out yesterday, but my husband did (for the first time). He managed to get the boys taken care of for gifts though.
Thanks for the tip on the cookbook from Costco. We are going today and I hope they have some left!
