Black Friday Deals at Amazon

by Cate on November 23, 2007

Can you believe some stores opened at 4 am to kick off the holiday shopping season today? Seriously. Crazy! I skipped braving any “door buster” retail locations today and enjoyed the ghost-towns the likes of Shop Rite, Costco and Blockbuster. Even if you stay home today, there are plenty of deals online that you can take advantage of, and Amazon is just one of the many choices.

If you need a mixer for your kitchen, now is as good a time as any, as Amazon is running many specials on Kitchen-Aid mixers, with free shipping to boot. You can check out the entire selection of Kitchen-Aid mixers right here, and you are bound to find one to suit your budget and needs.

One of particular note is this Factory-Reconditioned Artisan Series 5 Quart, a steal at nearly half the price. The deal is best on the white color, and you can’t go wrong with a classic.

If you happen to be a Costco member, don’t forget this weekend is when they give away their free Costco cookbook to members as they exit the warehouse. I got my copy this morning, and if the cover picture is any indication, it looks like we’re in for another good one. If you’ve missed the previous years’ editions, you can download and print them out right here (scroll down, they’re on the bottom left side of the page). You can thank me later. :)

We are heading to Costco in the morning. Good to know about the cookbook! I hope they have some left :)
Did you know that JCPenney’s in KC opened at 3am. That is just crazy.

I really should ask for a new KitchenAid for Xmas…my old, tattered KA was passed down from my mom. A couple of weeks ago, he fell while trying to knead some dough and cracked his head open!

Thanks for the link to the sale – sending my husband the link!

Not only did some stores open at 3 & 4 AM, the outlet mall near us opened at MIDNIGHT.

The grocery store was the only one I set foot in.

I didn’t venture out yesterday, but my husband did (for the first time). He managed to get the boys taken care of for gifts though.

Thanks for the tip on the cookbook from Costco. We are going today and I hope they have some left!
