I have my camera with my 90% of the time, but, of course as luck would have it, I missed a great photo op this morning. Nicholas and The Girlfriend were saying their good-byes this morning at school, before going to their separate classrooms. The Girlfriend was sitting on my lap, and put her arms out to give Nicholas a hug. He leaned in for the hug and then they kissed on the lips! It was so cute … and, hey, what better way for them to start their day? No worries, since I can guarantee there will be plenty more kisses in the future.
Was thinking tonight’s dinner would be take-out since it had been that kind of day, but when I came home, The Husband surprised me by making dinner … he’s a good man. :) After a long 10 minute conversation this afternoon, Nicholas and The Girlfriend were desperate to see each other … and why not? It had been a whole 5 hours since they had lunch together at school! So she came running down the alley that connects our houses with The Neighbors and they had dinner outside in the front yard while The Husband worked on putting together Halloween props.
Speaking of Halloween, I had a total “duh!” moment the other day, which The Husband has gleefully reminded of twice since then. I told him that we had to step up our Halloween production schedule because we only had 2 weeks to go before the big day. Took me two days to realize that duh!, we were still in September, and actually had SIX weeks to go. Ooops.
Busy weekend planned with the Farmer’s Market, a Fall Festival, a playdate requiring some scrumptious cookies and more. And perhaps most importantly, Weekend Dog Blogging (WDB) #2, so start snapping your pups at their cutest. I already have one entry! Stay with me all weekend … until tomorrow…
Ahh two kids in love – innocence at it’s finest!
With all the stores filled to the brim with halloween stuff you wouldn’t know it was still so far away.
Here is my entry for dog blogging. btw, what is a trackback?

I had a lengthy discussion with our dogs tonight about the WDB and they promised they would practice their cutest poses for the weekend. I have very high expectations and hopes!
What a great idea for doggie owners… I was tipped on this through Alicat of ‘Something So Clever’. Hope to make it for the next round!
have a good weekend, one and all!
