The boys are back from their Sesame Place adventure and Nicholas had a blast. Nearly 10 o’clock last night, he called me, heading off to the hotel’s indoor pool. It’s a rough life, I gotta tell you.Since it’s Sunday, it’s our official The Neighbors Dine Over night, and tonight was no exception. For pre-dinner munchies (which our dog Bella ended up stealing at the end of the night), I made Falafel-Spiced Pecans. Regular readers might remember I’ve made this recipe before, for Supper Club. I like it because it’s a great quick nibble and very easy to make.
Yesterday was pretty chilly here, so I decided on making soup as part of the meal. Of course, wouldn’t you know it, the weather was in the high 70s and did not cooperate with the plan. Oh well, I went ahead with it anyway. I made Cheeseburger Soup and Ham, Prosciutto and Cheddar Paninis for a main course, followed by Pumpkin Pecan Praline Cake for dessert, topped with ice cream. None of these were new recipes for us, all tried-and-trues. Since the post is rather long already today with the WDB#3 round-up, I’ll put the recipes up tomorrow, in case anyone’s interested.
Before we get to WDB #3’s Round-Up, first my participation in Weekend Cat Blogging #17 (WCB). Luke very rarely sits still long enough for me to get a decent picture of him, but every now and then, I get lucky. You can check out the rest of the precious felines over at Eat Stuff for her complete round-up.
And now for equal time, it’s Weekend Dog Blogging (WDB) #3. A lot of newcomers this time around (welcome!), so be sure to check out all the great new sites. I tried something a little different this week … hope you like it.
