Another week has come and gone, and boy was it a doozy. 60 degrees today in the middle of January in Jersey! Our weather has always been a little unpredictable, but this is just a little nuts.
Tonight we bucked tradition and The Neighbor and I escaped for a little while sans The Husbands and kids, managing to run a few quick errands. When we were done, we ran into Fatburger for a relaxing bite to eat. I love their burgers, especially topped with fried egg and cheese. They season them really well with just salt and pepper while grilling them (yup, I asked) and it makes all the difference.
Just a short post tonight as I want to curl up with the new issue of Rachael Ray’s magazine (I adore the cover of this one!) and work on my game plan for food for our Cookie Exchange on Sunday. Then, The Husband and I are going to catch up on our movie watching … Into the Blue just arrived in the mail from Blockbuster.
Until tomorrow … don’t forget, it’s time for Weekend Dog Blogging, so get your cameras and dogs ready. As always, if cats are your thing, head on over to Clare’s place and join in for her Weekend Cat Blogging round-up. And lastly, your green thumb and herbs are more than welcome at Kalyn’s Kitchen for Weekend Herb Blogging.
I adore her! She is so bubbly and funny.
I wholeheartedly agree with you about the marvelous Fatburger invention of “the burger topped with fried egg and cheese.” It combines all the perfect elements of: 1) a great breakfast sandwich, and 2) a great burger.
Also too Sweetnicks, I love your blog and added you onto my “Delicious Links” list!
Did you ever try any recipes from the first RR magazine issue? I made the sweet pea risotto and it was creamy and delicious and comforted me for a week! (didn’t have too many takers on it here except the 1 yr old) Try it! I will try to post the recipe for it on my blog, too.
