Friday Night Date Night fell perfectly on The Neighbors’ turn this week, allowing them to go out and celebrate The Neighbors’ birthday quietly. Now there’s a present in itself! :)
Chelsea Green Publishing sent me an e-mail earlier this week, asking if they could send me advance copies of two food-related books they’re releasing in the next few months. Heck yeah! They arrived in today’s mail, The Slow Food Guide to San Francisco, which I know Sam at Becks & Posh will definitely like, and Full Moon Feast, which ties recipes to each specific season. I’m definitely going to have fun with these! I noticed on their website, they also have Italian Cheese, which looks like just the type of encyclopedic library I need on my shelves. Check them out when you get a chance.
Exciting e-mail this week… I was invited to be a writer for one of the new food blogs that the Well-Fed Network is releasing. I’m really thrilled to be joining their team – stay tuned for follow-up news. And speaking of news and joining teams, I’m also happy to be added to the roster of contributors at Good Things. I’ll be working on two posts for them this weekend, and will give you a heads up once they appear. Pretty cool!
We officially have a weekend with absolutely, positively NO plans. I’m MOST enthusiastic about that, as it’s been awhile since such a thing existed. Only thing I have to do is plan and make a birthday dinner for The Neighbors Dine Over Sunday.
OK folks, all for tonight… thus begins the kick-off for Weekend Dog Blogging, Weekend Cat Blogging and Weekend Herb Blogging. Until then…
