And here I thought last night’s clues were harder, but still not hard enough! :) Stephanie guessed correctly first and wins a cookbook. To Stephanie and Elise, I’ll follow up on your wins once we get back.
This was my first time in Mexico (and The Husband’s and Nicholas’ too), so I can now cross this one and Key West off my list. Cozumel is not incredibly scenic, but there was definitely plenty of shopping to keep us busy. As we walked down the main street, each store had associates standing on the sidewalk waving prospective customers in. I bought a few things … mostly gifts and another map and, of course, the requisite souvenir t-shirt for Nicholas. I couldn’t find a cookbook anywhere, and believe me, I looked.
The part against the water’s edge is still rebuilding from hurricane damage. Although they’ve done a lot of work, they still have a ways to go.
During our shopping, the kids were hungry and tired, so we stopped in for a bite at Tiki Tok, a small restaurant that only opened a few weeks ago. Lunch from the second floor provided a gorgeous view, and Nicholas and The Girlfriend loved the built-in sandbox on the floor. The Husband had a great Mexican steak sandwich on a toasted roll with black refried beans and guacamole – yum!
All for now. Make sure to check out the ARF/5-A-Day #6 round-up over at Dispensing Happiness. Stephanie was gracious enough to guest host for me this week. It’ll be back here as usual next week.
Tune in tomorrow to find out Where in the World Sweetnicks Is and find out who my guest husband is for tomorrow’s edition of The Husband Cooks Wednesdays.
Until then…
P.S. I happen to be fairly fanatical about typos and grammatical errors, and couldn’t resist taking a picture of this sign I spied in a store window this afternoon. Ooops.
Wow, not much to go on today! Is it Belize??
Oh, how i love the idea of a “guest husband” ! LOL
Could it be Barbados?
I’m pretty sure its Ocho Rios Jamaica, but if I’m right, don’t give me a cookbook because I’m pretty sure I know what cruise you’re on. =)
Hey there…hope I took good care of your ‘baby!
That typo reminds me of a sign we saw in the Shannon airport…but at least the Irish are curteous enough to correct their mistakes!
Costa Maya, Mexico?
Belize?
I love the typo sign.

grand cayman?
Well, gee, if Emily knows what cruise you’re on, and she doesn’t want that cookbook, and I’m the first one AFTER Emily to copy her guess … and it’s right … does that mean I get the cookbook? I guess … you guessed it … Ocho Rios Jamaica!
Nah, that’s cheating. Never mind!
Uconnjenn – after the first stop got guessed so fast, I had to make it harder. :)
Zabeena – glad you liked the idea; figured it would be something different.
patsy – nope. :)
emily – nope, not Jamaica either.
Stephanie – you did a fantastic job – thanks so much!
t – ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!
Anonymous – I couldn’t resist taking a picture of that one. ;)
Randi – good guess, but nope.
PatL – no Jamaica mon. :)
