‘Cept today The Husband is off the hook because The Neighbor Wife cooked! Not bad, eh? She made us Pepperoni Calzones, and it was great to come home to dinner already done, and even better that we didn’t have to do dishes! She did an awesome job; they were nice and toasty brown on the outside and full of cheesy goodness on the inside. Perfect.
The second monthly issue of Very Good Things has hit the web and it’s hued in my favorite color … pinks to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Lots of good inspiration there, so be sure to check it out when you have a minute. I have two articles there now, with more coming. You can read about the B-L-Tea Sandwiches we had the other night, as well as the Pina Coladas. Both recipes are from Martha Stewart’s Hors D’Oeuvres Handbook, as I make my way through it, one recipe at a time.
Your little bit of trivia today … an amazing twenty-four years ago, Wolfgang Puck opened up his first restaurant. I didn’t realize it was that long ago. Now 8 thriving restaurants later, with another 2 scheduled to open later this year, I’d say his career is doing ok; not to mention his various cafes, cookbooks and pots and pans.
