Finally Friday is here. It’s funny how some weeks seem longer than others, even though they’re not. This week seemed to last f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Tonight, Nicholas and I went to Lone Star Steakhouse with The Neighbors. The Neighbor Wife hadn’t been there before, and it was high time for her to experience their sweet potato goodness. Their menu seems very reminiscent of Outback’s. I checked their respective company information and they were actually launched within a year of each other, with Lone Star coming first in 1988 and Outback a year later.
Dani correctly guessed our (my!) favorite “cruise cocktail,” the Strawberry Colada, which we enjoyed back in February and November of last year. We’re going to be enjoying it again in just a few short weeks as our vacation is coming up. The Neighbor Wife keeps the official countdown of how many days until we embark on our next journey, but suffice it to say, we’re getting close. I found a recipe, surprisingly enough, for the Strawberry Colada, so I’ll be whipping up a batch of them tomorrow to put us in the vacation mood.
I haven’t sent one of our kitties into Clare’s Weekend Cat Blogging in awhile, so snapped a picture of Luke this afternoon. This weekend, Weekend Cat Blogging can be found over at Heather’s Space.
Until tomorrow…
A year ago today … disappointing muffins.
I am craving a Strawberry Colada all night already – looks like my Husband must take me out for some Cocktails tomorrow night.
I had the cookbook in the mail today – thank you so much. I found some things I want to try during the next weeks.
Thankyou for shareing Luke with us. He’s a pretty tabby.
Am enjoying hosting — and it makes for a busy weekend — catching up on everyone’s entries.
I was wondering… how do I join Weekend Dog Blogging? I want to show off my darling!
Oh, what a wonderful photo of Luke. I love the way the light is. He’s wonderful.
Hi Luka! You sure look sweet!
Boy, that strawberry colada looks very good!
I meant LUKE, of course. Upsie gets very miffed if someone calls her the wrong name!
Luke looks like he’s waiting for one of those tasty treats to fall from above – We’d like some of that Mac & cheese please!
