First up, my next article in my continuing series for Cooking Light magazine is up, and if Fall is one of your favorite seasons, go read it. And hey, even if you like Summer better, go read the article anyway and support me. ;)
I have waited a few years for this, and it’s finally here. This Sunday, Nigella Lawson comes to FoodTV Network with her new show, Nigella Feasts. If you’re not familiar with Nigella or her show, you’re in for a real treat. Let’s see … how to describe her? If you like Barefoot Contessa’s recipe styles, you’ll like Nigella. And similarly, they both focus on cooking for friends and family. But Nigella’s style is slightly different – provocative, sultry and captivating. She’ll draw you in, and before you know it, you’ll be inviting your friends over and entertaining before you even realize you picked up the phone to extend any invitations. Trust me, watch and you’ll be hooked. All of the sudden, batter on your apron (or in my case, my sweater), flour on your face and your hair getting in your eyes while you’re squinting to read a recipe is sexy again. You’ll see.
And if her new show or cookbooks aren’t enough for you, she also has unleashed a bunch of fab new products available on FoodTV Network – I’ve already got my eye on that ice blue cake stand.
Until tomorrow…
A year ago today … slept right through it.
I’m excited, too!!
She’s fun, and her recipes are wonderful. Thank goodness for our Aussie bloggers, or I may not have even heard of her…
I really do need to convince Matt that we need TiVo, now!
I got the last few minutes of Nigella and wasn’t wowed. Do I need to give it more time? I just thought it was weird that they kept showing close ups of her. I didn’t feel like I really saw her cooking. Again I only saw the last 10 minutes.
I will give it another try, but just because you and Stephanie love her so much.
Stephanie – You DO need Tivo, one of the best inventions ever. You will never watch TV the same again.
Heather – definitely give it another try.
I watched the premier episode today! Hopefully you have a way of recording it while you’re on vacation? You’ll enjoy seeing the interaction she has with her children!
Lowcountryfoodie – absolutely taping it, TIVO is my friend. ;)
