First up is this week’s Rediscovering My Library segment. I received a few cookbooks for my birthday, and my sister gave me two wonderful ones I definitely would have missed on my own. Food for Friends is the type of cookbook that immediately draws you in and gets you in the mood to throw a party … now. Whether it’s their Fab Fish Lunch, Market Picnic, Summer Sundown, Eastern Feast, New Years’ Eve Dinner or countless other fetes, this book is filled with complete menus, tons of gorgeous color photographs and table setting and decorating ideas … love it. The authors have a few other cookbooks to their name, so this was definitely a dangerous discovery, but perfect for my bookshelves (thanks again!).
Speaking of cookbooks, I recently set up shop on Amazon. You can check out Sweetnicks’ Store at Amazon right here. Pretty, eh? You can also find direct links to all the new cookbooks that are coming out in the next few months. This link will be permanently put under my Shop page, for future reference. This way, if you want to see what fun cookbooks are coming out in the not-too-distant future, you can get it all here.
This week’s nod for New (to Me) Blogger on Block goes to Smitten Kitchen from New York. Love, love, love this one. Whether it’s defending Rachael Ray, delicious memories of Paris love, and the glories of wedding registeries for the food-obsessed, I know you’ll fall in love with this site. I did.
Until tomorrow…
A year ago today … cute shoes!
Thank you so much for the tip on Food for Friends, I just added it to my wishlist for future purchase. It’s just the kind of cookbook I like, since I love to entertain (though I don’t get to so much anymore) and it’s always so much more fun and fulfilling cooking for friends and family.:)
Great post! People think I am odd because I have more cookbooks than anything else on my shelves. I love reading cookbooks. It really is a surprise what you will find in each one.
I will have to peek into your Amazon list and take notes. :)
