This afternoon, when I picked Nicholas up from school, he climbed quickly into the car. Spying something in the front seat, he exclaimed, “Mama, I want Smack Your Lips Chips! I want Smack Your Lips Chips!”
I had no idea what he was talking about. “What do you want?” He eagerly pointed to a case of Pringles I picked up at Costco earlier in the week. “Those!” “Who calls them Smack Your Lips Chips?” “Scooby Doo!” he exclaimed, in a very “duh, Mom, you should know that!” tone. Never heard them called that before, but it actually kind of fits.
Yesterday, he was getting dressed after taking a bath and I whistled and yelled, “Whoo hoo, sexy baby!” He looks at me, very seriously, and says, “Mama, I know I’m a sexy baby.”
Not a day goes by that Nicholas fails to make me chuckle – I love that kid.
Until tomorrow…
