Whether you’re a Rachael Ray fan or not, you had to have noticed that she’s been everywhere lately … more everywhere than she usually is. Of course, she has published twelve cookbooks, has 4 shows on FoodTV Network and, oh yeah, has her very own magazine. Today marked the first episode of her new talk show, produced by Harpo Productions.
A little bit of this, and a little bit of that with some cooking thrown in for good measure. Diane Sawyer dropped by to share her “favorite things” with Rachael and her audience, namely some very thin, ultra-comfortable socks and a a lipstick with its very own flashlight. They even swapped recipes, with Diane sharing Charlie Gibson’s Put Everything In It Mexican Casserole, and Rach adding her recipe for Pumpkin Sage Pasta.
And the cooking, yes, there was cooking. Rachael bested even herself, turning out a dinner in 7 minutes. Well, actually, she promised a 7-minute meal and turned it in just shy of that at 5 minutes, 52 seconds, making Balsamic Chicken with Pesto Gravy & Bitter Greens. One of the unique features of her show’s website is that she lists a grocery list for all the recipes she’ll be making on her show during the week – how cool is that? You can find this week’s list right here.
Alright folks, all for tonight. Wish me luck for tomorrow … I’m getting a tooth pulled in the morning (first time!) and am a tad anxious about the whole thing.
Until tomorrow…
A year ago today … mmmm, I remember these potatoes, so delicious!
Good luck tomorrow! I can’t blame you, I personally hate the dentist!
I saw on the Today show, how the set of Rachel’s new show has a revolving audience floor. The set is 360 deg , and the floor of the audience revolves following the show. I thought that was pretty cool, and a great use of space.
Good luck tomorrow, it’s more painless than people think. :)
I liked RR a bit more when she wasn’t on everytime I flip on the foodnetwork. I just feel she’s a bit overexposed right now.
I heard about Martha’s people getting kicked out of Rachel’s taping! Hilarious, but I love Martha more. I can’t help it.
I’m getting a tooth filled tomorrow. Right there with you!
I agree. Rachel’s hitting the over exposed button now. I just hope she doesn’t loose it all. IMNTBHO, she should cut back and work on only the shows or books she truely loves.
while she is not a favourite personality of mine, especially with her cutesy EVOO talk [cringe], her interview with larry king the other night was interesting.
great blog! ;p
abby is right, martha rocks in comparison.
