Another day, another magazine clipping. Tonight’s dinner came from Fresh magazine, another import from the United Kingdom. It was Lemon Chicken, very similar to the kind you may get in your local Chinese restaurant. Incredibly easy to make and relatively healthy, it was a winner around the table. The recipe suggested serving it over noodles, which I did, but I think rice would be better next time. I doubled the sauce; didn’t think there was enough otherwise. (Recipe will be posted tomorrow.)
I also made Vodka Tiger Prawns … you’d think with the combination of shrimp, vodka and heavy cream, you couldn’t go wrong, right? It was ok, just nothing special, and I can think of better uses of a pound of shrimp.
Alright, all for tonight … an incredibly busy weekend, and I’m tuckered and calling it a night. Until tomorrow…
A year ago today … quite coincidentally, another Chinese-themed meal, and a terrific one at that!

This weekend, we’re babysitting my parents’ dog, Beauregard. He loves being outside, watching the world go by. Yesterday, he discovered the sofa on our porch and was in seventh heaven:
And last, but not least, our own Eli. I was updating some photos online tonight, and spied this one from a snowstorm back in February. There’s little Eli loves more than a good romp in fresh snow.
Oh we feel so honoured…. thank you for taking your time every Sunday to make this round-up. Have a good week, gino and his mom
That lemon chicken looks awesome. I can’t wait for the recipe!
I have taken to checking the round up of this event weekly. It has become my new favorite! The pictures and stories are always so wonderful. I need to join soon. :)
