OK… to everyone who correctly guessed Puerto Rico, you’re going to have to fess up and tell me what gave it away. I didn’t think the clues were that easy…?
Loved Puerto Rico, and so far, I think it’s my favorite stop, with St. Martin a close second. Puerto Rico was the most “city” spot on our itinerary and there was a lot to explore. The only problem was that where the ship was docked, it was really a taxi ride to get anywhere. We took a taxi to Old San Juan and did a little bit of shopping and sightseeing, but it ended up being a lot of walking for Nicholas’ little legs, and they went off to the beach. The weather was h-o-t and a dip in the beautiful water was a good call. I ended up doing a little more walking and exploring and then met them for lunch at Senor Frogs. I’d definitely plan a trip to just Puerto Rico to discover whatever we missed. The colors of the buildings are very Caribbean, and remind me of the ones we’ve seen in Bermuda. Love the architecture.
For anyone who knows Puerto Rico, what is that rocket launcher thing pictured below? Probably nothing to do with rocket launchers, although that’s what it looks like. It’s in a restricted, no-access area.
Sparse clues for tomorrow’s destination:
Hot
Secluded
Picturesque beaches
Outside of the US
Until tomorrow…
Hispanola is my guess.
Everything sounds amazing! I love all of the colors of the buildings. I’m guessing tomorrow is Haiti?
I love the towel bunny! looks like y’all are having fun!
I am going with Turks? Maybe Grand Turk?
The pics of San Juan are great…love those old colorful buildings…strongly reminds me of the quaint little fishing village of Burano off the coast of Venice.
Looks like you’re having a great time :-) Oh, and the San Juan clues were not easy, but I’ll be honest, I’ve been on quite a few cruises and I took a wild guess. Enjoy the hot weather…it’s cooling off in the northeast!

I love that last photo…
I had a two-week assignment in San Juan a few years ago. I did enjoy Old San Juan and our hotel was on a nice street but otherwise I got to see a lot of the non-tourist areas so Puerto Rico no longer has a magical connotation for me. Our building was not in a pretty section at all.
I’m guessing Antigua next.
My guess is Saona Island, off the Dominican Republic!
Robyn – loved the Caribbean colors of the buildings, and wasn’t expecting it. Cookbook is yours – drop me a line with your address.
