Kids say the darnedest things; they really do.
Today when I picked Nicholas up from school, I asked him how his day was and if he ate his lunch. The Husband packs his lunch every morning, and today he packed leftover Roast Chicken from Saturday night’s dinner. Nicholas said:
“I ate all my lunch, except the yellow part (the skin), because that’s the
bird. I don’t eat bird. Yuck.”
I debated about telling him that the white part was “the bird” too. I did, and he didn’t believe me; just as well.
Yesterday, as we were driving over to go visit my Mom, he made the astute observation that “now Grandma can park in the blue spaces because she can’t walk.” Cracks me up.
OK, two programming notes and then I’m off to hang out with my munchkin.
