Make Me Weak in the Knees

by Cate on November 11, 2006

I love the holidays, plain and simple. And really, who doesn’t? Even more so now that I have a child. It’s all completely different when seeing everything through Nicholas’ eyes.

I can quickly spout off a million other reasons why I love the holidays, and, of course, spending time with family and friends being first and foremost. But what else is in my Top 10? The onslaught of holiday magazines.

Regular readers already know I’m a bit of a magazine addict. There’s no denying it. I make no apologies as there are far worse (and expensive!) things I could be addicted to. But holiday magazines? Talk about a weak spot! And this year, there is w-a-y more of them than I’ve ever seen in past years. We’re barely into November and I’ve managed to find a dozen already. And that’s not including the holiday appetizer ones (particular favorites) that come out this time of year. Mercy me.

So, c’mon, confession time. What makes YOU weak in the knees?

Until tomorrow…

oh mY! You did not buy all of those. A little jealous. I think the only one in that pile I bought was the Everyday Food cookie issue. it was just too cute to pass up.

so what are you making first???

What makes me weak in the knees?
-a really amazing meal, not cooked by me, is the first to come to mind
-I, too, adore magazines and talk about it incessantly. I just try to curb the desire a bit.

Did you get the Every Day food cookie issue as part of your subscription or on the newstand?? I haven’t seen it yet.

Crafty – Guilty as charged. Now since you’re a fellow magazine addict, if you haven’t yet discovered Magazine Price Search, you must check it out. It won’t help with these special holiday issues, but for subscriptions, they search all the online services to find the best rates, most are under $5 a year! I use it for all my subscriptions.

Rachel – Unfortunately that one’s not part of the subscription, nor is her Holiday Gifts one. :(
