I am way, way, way behind in loading recipes onto the Recipes tab on my site, but last night, I got a little further through my backlog. All of the new recipes that I made in September are now loaded for your downloading and cooking pleasure. Have at it. Although I’m still a few months out, it’s kind of like a trip down memory lane, revisiting new recipes that quickly became favorites and ones that I had completely forgotten all about. A few highlights:
– Rachael’s Chimichurri Chicken Bites were OMG good, and got two hearty thumbs up from me and The Neighbor Husband.
– the Put Everything In It Mexican Surprise was a concoction that Diane Sawyer brought to Rachael Ray’s talk show the first week it was on, and was a big hit in the Sweetnicks’ house, in a trashy, I-can’t-believe-I’m-eating-this way. Diane got the recipe from her Good Morning America co-host, Charlie Gibson. And honestly, if that’s what they’re all eating, I would happily throw my hat in the ring for their house cook. We renamed this dish Dorito Casserole, and it’s delish, but not for everyday eating.
– the Cinnamon-Apple Cake from Cooking Light magazine. Actually not a “new” recipe for us, this is just the first time I posted the recipe. I’ve been making it since ’98, when it first came out and definitely screams Fall to me.
There’s lots more recipes loaded besides those, 15 in all. I’m sure you’ll find just the thing to whet your appetite. Until tomorrow…
A year ago today … what might well be our biggest ARF/5-A-Day roundup yet.
Mmmmm…the chicken bites sound so good. I’ll have to try those!
Hmmmm, maybe I will make those chimichurri bites for the Super Bowl party we are going to. Would they travel well?
Lola – they are so good, especially if you like salty things. Making my mouth water just thinking about them. ;)
Madeline – they would be perfect. Might need to nuke the chicken when you get there, but perfect for a superbowl party.
