Today The Neighbor Wife took over, making a birthday feast for me and Nicholas, marking his second birthday celebration this week and my first. After asking what I wanted for dinner, she went all out with a salad with a yummy dressing, garlic bread, tortellini alfredo (my fave!) and spaghetti and red clam sauce (for the tortellini haters). Not wanting to come empty-handed, I brought Bleu Cheese Dip with Chips and Pepperoni Biscotti (recipes to follow this week). The meal was capped off with a birthday cake from Costco — if you’ve never had their cakes before, they have, hands down, the best buttercream frosting anywhere. She even decked out the table in pink. You can’t go wrong with that, and everything was deeelish.
A year ago today… Mom takes over.
Two years ago today… a party for Nicholas.
Happy Birthday Week!
Such a pretty setting! What is the Girlfriend eating in such big bites!!!!? Hope you enjoy your week of celebration.
Erika – Thank you!
Claire – LOL. See that red balloon on the birthday cake on the right side? ;)
Where’s the recipe for that pepperoni biscotti? That looks extra tasty!
Amity – coming tomorrow, promise!
