We love Halloween here in the Sweetnicks household. One of our Top 3 holidays for us easily. Next year, we’re going to have a Halloween party. This year, I just couldn’t get my act together, between moving and various other shenanigans, it just wasn’t going to happen. But 2008? Easy, and I have a whole year to plan it.
In the meantime, I’m focusing on what treats to make for Nicholas to bring into school. Two years ago, I made stuffed Halloween hands and a Haunted House cake. The Halloween hands were cute, but a) it took some doing to find gloves that weren’t coated with that powder inside and b) they were fairly time consuming to make 30 of them. They were very cute, but I want to make something different every year. Last year? I have no idea what I did and it must not have been that memorable because, gasp!, I didn’t blog about it.
This year, I want to keep it simple, but still something that the Kindergarten set will get a kick out of. I narrowed it down to four or five items and let Nicholas choose his favorite. He’s decided on the Eyeball Cupcakes. How cute are they? In a sick, eww, way, of course.
So, what tricks and treats do you have up your sleeve to celebrate Halloween? Sending something in for the kiddos? Having a party? Share!
