Sorry I missed out on getting the round-up done last night, but I got struck with a nasty bug and I was seriously down for the count. Nicholas kept wandering over to the couch where I was sprawled, moaning, asking “Mommy, Mommy, are you ok?” Antibiotics are surely a wonderful thing.
So I missed cooking last night (the thought of food just wasn’t happening), but luckily a bunch of food bloggers picked up the slack for me. Here we go:
If Claire from Cooking Is Medicine can whip up a healthy Shrimp and Broccoli Stir-Fry after working a 12-hour shift, there’s hope for the rest of us:
Laurie from Mediterranean Cooking in Alaska tries her best to overcome her mind-over-matter debate on sweet potatoes and serves up Moroccan Salmon, Fennel-Preserved Lemon Salad and Sweet Potato Oven Fries:
TD from The Modern Apron combats the voices in her head to make a Donna Hay recipe that even Bugs Bunny would be proud of, Braised Carrots with Crisp Capers and Parsley:
Michelle from Cooking the Books is back this week, trying out a recipe from Martha Stewart. You know me, I love me some Martha! Printing this one myself now … Spicy Chick Peas with Fresh Green Chiles sounds like a perfect Spring supper.
Joanna from Lost in the Kitchen shares her delicious fried rice. If you haven’t made fried rice yourself at home yet, do give it a whirl. It’s fast and easy, and a great way to control what goes into it — you may never order Chinese take-out again!
Sarah from What Smells So Good combats tomato allergies with her riffs on Ketchup and Tomatoless Pasta Sauce:
Patsy from Family, Friends and Food goes healthy, fast and easy with her Baby Bok Choy recipe:
Want to join in our next ARF/5-A-Day round-up? It’s easy. You can check out the details right here.
I hope you’re feeling better! Great round-up and I loved your post about the endless questions your son asks – it made me laugh.
