No Weekend Photos in Review today. Today it is all about my niece Sophie, for it’s her birthday! How is it possible that Sophie has been a part of our family for two years already?! It seems like just yesterday that she was born:
And turned one year old.
But now, she’s already two. I know it’s cliched to say that time is flying by, but it really is! Now she’s quite the wordsmith, and has a variety of complete sentences and questions that come tumbling out all the time, and many, many, many words. She loves music and dancing, her cat Nelson and her little sister, Sadie. I was lucky enough to be squired away mid-party for an impromptu dance-off in her room. She asked me to get up and follow her, and of course I dutifully did. Once in her room, she shut the door and started dancing to the music. She is turning into quite the personality!
I thought Sophie’s new truck would be the perfect spot to hold the chips we were sharing.
My sister went with a “mini” theme to celebrate. How cute is the mini hotdog with its roll?
And, of course, the mini cheeseburgers.
And mini cupcakes are perfect.
Our kids are going to grow up thinking that cupcakes are another major food group.
That’s not necessarily a bad thing.
Oh these eyes! Those lashes! The boys are going to be throwing themselves at Sadie’s feet. How could anyone resist?
Happy Birthday, Sophie!
