Friday evening started out like this:
The weekend had a lot of this:
and this. My back will never be the same. Don’t let anybody ever tell you that painting a ceiling is easy.
Project 365

It doesn’t matter how far out of reach you think something is, this one is going to get it. Period. End of story.

I wonder sometimes whose life is rougher … Eli’s or the kids’. He knows he’s not allowed on the couch. He also doesn’t really care.

Project 365
January 13, 2010, Photo #13
I was so busy figuring out how to put two pictures side-by-side for the Lightscoop piece, I forgot to include Photo #13, even though I took it. So pretend you saw this picture a few days ago. I love this vase. Two years ago, it took me three visits to the store to decide to finally buy it. It wasn’t the price that was deterring me, as it was only twenty bucks. It was the vessel’s opening. I see vases, I think flowers, and this opening is so narrow, flowers just wouldn’t look right. On my third visit to the store, I decided it didn’t have to hold flowers, it could just be an accessory instead, and it has been ever since. See something tan-colored inside the vase? Yeah, apparently someone thought it was a good spot to put popsicle sticks.
At least after the pain medicine… by scrolling down to the other photos you had some fabulous cookies to enjoy = )
I love the color of that vase.
Want to come paint my ceilings next?! I hate painting.
Gorgeous pictures as always! I passed on your Lightscoop recommendation to a friend.
Loved the sk8tr boi!
Another great weekend review post. I still have to go buy the lightscoop. Hmmm….when to get to the camera store?
That is hilarious about the popsicle sticks! And your Sunday looks strangely like *my* Sunday.
Com’n the vase is perfect for popsicle sticks LOL!

Love the ceiling in the aqua-ish color! I never thought of doing that! That looks like the color I am going to be re-painting my living room. Can I ask where you got those curtains? They look perfect…I’ve been having a hard time finding curtains to go in a room that color.
Jenni – I love those curtains! I loved the pinched pleating at the top and how lush they look, without a too-crazy price tag. The style is Paris, color is Oyster and they’re from Bed, Bath & Beyond. Here is a link: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=116630 to them. Using the 20% off coupons for each panel made them pretty reasonable. Hope that helps!
The Sister-In-Law – and Nick swears it wasn’t him!
Sarah – not a bad way to spend the day after the way Saturday went. ;)
Merry – or just go to Amazon and save the trip. :) Can’t beat free shipping.
Casey – lol, me too!
Josie – no way! Have one more ceiling to do – next month. You have no idea the amount of paint I swallowed!
so Spiffy – very true indeed!
Your weekends always look so full of family and fun. With those cookies and the apples baking I can only imagine how wonderful your home must have smelled too.
My Nick has those same sneakers.
I painted a ceiling once. I’d rather paint every wall in the house than paint one more ceiling.
Ahh, I painted the kitchen (walls) last week. Fun times. I’m not going near the ceiling!
Great pics. I love the 365 idea, I just can’t commit right now. Keep it up!
Like Eli, my dog Rudy could care less about our silly human “rules”! I mean, couches are made for lounging, right? Who says that’s limited to two-legged creatures? Isn’t that dog discrimination? :)
Your ceiling looks beautiful, even though it was rough getting there! And, as always, your desserts look exquisite. Looks like you had a very productive weekend!
