Nick is taking an after-school art class once a week for eight weeks. I was inexplicably proud when he brought home his first piece of art on Monday. As you can see, his sister was pretty enthralled with it too. Ever the critic, he found fault with one area of it, but I couldn’t get over what an awesome job he did … with the snow, the sky, the ground. So very proud.
And for the next installation in our art gallery, a piece that Madeline painted around Christmastime. The teachers helped her put her hands in the middle to form the heart, and she did all the colorful spots around it by herself. I love kid art. Nothing like a colorful masterpiece to put a quick smile on your face.

And speaking of art, Madeline still loves a good, should-have-been-put-away-properly,-Nick marker as much as she did back then.
I love that picture by Nick. I would totally hang it in my house – I love original artwork with lots of colors :)
Always adorable. Nick’s picture actually is excellent and I love how colorful Maddie’s is. My parents still have my and my siblings’ first art projects hanging on our walls. Our first finger paintings. And it still makes me smile that they have them up.
Great job Nick, that’s an amazing picture!

Nick did a fantastic job. Madie’s picture is cute too.
LOL…marker hand. Not quite as cute as marker mouth, but still cute.
He is doing great…you got you some creative kids!
