Too tired to put this batch of pictures in chronological order, but all from the weekend. Madeline’s Birthday Week has come to its official close, and we capped off the weekend celebrating Valentine’s Day, my sister’s birthday and Chinese New Year in one fell swoop. Hope your weekend was just as wonderful – enjoy!
I heart seeing all the fun Valentines the kids come home from school with. Nothing like a little box filled with love.
We’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day in our family for as long as I can remember. Not a go-all-out thing, just small tokens of love. My Dad always gave my sister and I small gifts for Valentine’s Day, along with a card, and I love that.
(cupcakes for my sister’s birthday – happy birthday!)
(so I was sitting next to my niece, Sophie, when we started in on the mini cupcakes. She stabs it with her fork, looks at it with total seriousness, and in a low, growly voice, says “come here, cupcake, come here.” Cracked me up.)
(love this expression. like, “seriously? another picture?” exasperated, and it wasn’t even me behind the camera!)

Little stinker refused to wear tights with her skirt, and, of course, didn’t want to wear pants. I put the tights on, went to go get shoes, and she had pulled them off when I got back. Then later, she complained she was cold. Gee. Wonder why.

Heart straws from Madeline’s birthday party. Nope, no water spots here.

Photo doesn’t do it justice. They’re a nice slightly shimmery fabric and the new solution to my kitchen curtain problem. They’ll look awesome with the light blue I’m going to paint the kitchen. Thanks, Jill! Now onto the playroom and office…
Another awesome weekend. Love those shoes of Maddie’s. They are super colorful! I wish they made shoes like that for adults. I would totally be sporting a pair.
Love the shoes, too! Are they Lelly Kellies? Lainey had a pair last year.
Love the m&m loaded up cupcake. So cute!
I love that picture of Madeline where she is done having her picture taken. I have a picture of me that looks exactly like that except I was 20 and in Ireland with my brother and his (now) wife. No More Pictures Please :)
Hi – the shoes w/the rhinestones (on Soph) are actually from Target! I got them a week or so ago so they might even still be there.
I always enjoy the weekend photos in review posts, Cate!
Love the curtains! I can’t wait to do more decorating in my apartment.
Looks like a great weekend. Bet ya’ll had a great time!
