(what happens when two feet of snow is met with fifty degree temps a week later)
(the kitchen, and, more specifically as a friend put it, the bakery is closed. this weekend brought us Candied Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies, Coffee Chocolate Bars, Compost Cookies, Chocolate Chip Dream Bars and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake Bars. i fulfilled two repaid favors and my last cookie-of-the-month club platter for a donation to a tricky tray last year. shh, don’t tell jamie, but we definitely baked with chocolate this weekend!)
coming this week … Super Wedge Salad, Spinach Artichoke and Chicken Penne and at least one of the baked goods from this weekend. until then…
Looks like a fabulous weekend! I can’t believe all the baking you did though!
Wow another awesome set of pictures. Are these all using your new camera?
I thought you weren’t supposed to be baking with chocolate for Lent! lol. You got some great pictures of the weekend.
I LOLed at the geese. Looks like another wonderful weekend! Wasn’t it great to escape the indoors for balmy temps outside?
Bacon and chocolate chip! Crazyness.
Maddie and Nick look so cute in that photo. Talk about Kodak moments.
All it would take is one of those geese gettin’ after him! lol.
Great looking food. I thought I saw bacon in one of those cookies.
lol – loved the bacon chocolate chip cookies!! Glad you tried them.
Wow! That is A LOT of baking, my friend. I’ve never tried doing bacon in the oven like that. Gotta check that out.
Patsy – me either! Wasn’t planned, just sort of evolved during naptimes. My ktichen hasn’t quite recovered!
Pam – I’ve been doing it that way for years — perfect because you don’t need to babysit it and all the grease drips to the bottom. win. win.
Cathy – definitely a mind over matter cookie that’s worth a go!
Ramona – good eye!
Joanne – I wish Nick hadn’t moved it hand, but still love it.
Sarah – omg, the weather was awesome! loving it!
Josie – the camera I got 1/09, yes. :) one of these days i’m going to sign up for a class so i can really use it to its full potential.
Karen – caught! i had to make a platter of cookies for something i donated, so got it all out of my system this weekend. swear.
Those photos are gorgeous! That sun coming through the trees with the snow, beautiful!
