Another packed weekend. The Neighbors over for dinner Friday. Nick was at Great Adventure from sun-up to well past sun-down on Saturday, cheering a friend on in a cheerleading competition (her squad came in 3rd). Zumba 90-minute fundraiser to benefit the Seeing Eye dogs. Cupcake bakery visit with Madeline. Roller skating birthday party for Payton (she turns seven this week!). Operation Install Air Conditioners. Lights out as soon as I hit publish. I’m beat!
French Toast Cupcake, Mint Chocolate Buttercream Cupcakes, Strawberry Shortcake Cupcakes and Sundae Cupcakes
I have no idea what they’re digging for or doing up there. I think it might be better not to know. I do, however, love that only hours after Payton’s birthday party she’s digging in the dirt.
The Neighbor Wife’s sister came up to me at the birthday party this morning and asked me, “Where’s the baby?” Yup. There she is. Baby no more.
For a fun look back, here is when she turned 3. I can’t even believe it’s been that long (longer, even) – I remember it like it was yesterday. Well, almost.
Growing up, I sent many, many weekend nights at this roller rink at school parties. Love skating, and I totally want to throw a 40th birthday party here this summer.
Such a good mommy. I think she has three babies. She carries them around. Soothes them when they’re crying. Puts them to sleep. Rocks them. Feeds them. When we leave the house and accidentally forget a baby, I tell her that they were really tired and still sleeping. We shouldn’t wake them up. For now, she buys it.
Great photos! Sounds like a packed (and great) weekend. Was it as hot there as it was here?
Ah! A roller skating party (AND with old fashioned skates instead of those damned inline ones that are so hard to master). Do it, throw yourself a party at the skating rink, that would be beyond awesome!
And those cupcakes. I think I just drooled on the keyboard.
Oh my gosh. The skates and the lights and the disco ball. I just flew back to the 5th grade and Thunderbird Roller Rink.
Awesome.
Loved the pictures!
My sister was that way about her babies…except by babies she actually meant beanie babies. But same idea. I think she carried them around until she was eight or so. So you’ve got a few more years to go…
Those cupcakes look delicious. And yeah, doesn’t time fly!
I second the roller rink idea.
Great photos! I love the princess cake, looks like it was a great party!
Those cupcakes look good enough to lick the screen.
I would have been skating and I’m a lot older than you.
Love the pics!
Oh boy — rollerskating! The memories. My sister and I were just reminiscing about our local rink, actually, and the good times we had there as kids in the ’90s! The only one within a billion-mile (or something like that!) radius closed more than a decade ago. Still miss it!
Looks like good, if exhausting, times were had by all! :)
CUPCAKES ARE MY FAVORITE!
Looks like a great weekend. Madeline has grown up so fast! Those cupcakes look divine!
