Is there a word beyond exhausted? If so, sign me up. Nick had half-day on Friday, followed by a six hour (ack!) playdate. On Saturday, he was gone with The Ex for the day at a scout camping trip, and when he came home we headed out to Medieval Times (more on that coming later this week) with a group of friends. When we got home from that, one of his friends stayed overnight. Which led to an all-day playdate on Sunday. They were all up at 7 am (double ack!) and the playing didn’t stop until 5. Aside from the campout, I’ve had three kids since 12 pm on Friday. Work tomorrow will be a welcome respite. Some pics and then I’m curling up with my remote and an overloaded Tivo. Bed has never looked so good. I’ll be back tomorrow with some Q&A from Sweetnicks’ mailbag. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
I might have gasped a little when I saw this picture. I think this picture shows the biggest similarity between the two kids. They have a lot of similar features and mannerisms here and there, but until this shot, I don’t think I’d say they necessarily looked alike. Here? Just maybe.
Busy weekend indeed! Mouse trap!!!!!! Such a classic. And is that pickle on a stick? I love pickles! I had flashbacks this weekend while I was cooking for my two week stint in the ER. I kept thinking, “This would definitely have been an entry for Cate’s ARF-Tuesday!” :-)
Love your pictures. Just shared them with the husband. He agreed. You’re good!
I love weekends that leave you so exhausted like that (I had one myself).
I know you must be tired when work sounds like a respite! Love maddie’s pickle on a stick. I need to get one of those.
I had to laugh when I saw the Mouse Trap game! My oldest was begging me to buy it this weekend when we were at Target!
Patsy – it’s such a classic, but man, totally not a favorite of mine. Too many little pieces and lose one, and the game is done.
Joanne – Great way to feast your way through the farmer’s market.
Mandy – only the best kind of exhaustion, right? :)
Casey – aw, thanks, glad you like them!
Claire – the kids are both fans of the full sour ones and we get one every time we hit the farmer’s market. Totally miss ARF/5-A-Day!
I can see everyone had a lot of fun this weekend.
