Friday morning, I was quickly assembling goodie bags for Nick’s class at school. Only one piece of candy in each bag (they would get plenty this weekend), the rest of the goodies included pretzels, erasers, spider rings, pencils and tattoos.
I took Madeline in to Nick’s party at school. Any time she visits his classroom, he always motions for her to come and sit with him. She, of course, soaks it up.
One of the girls in Nick’s class in her homemade peacock costume – isn’t it awesome?
Mini spider cupcakes sent in by one of the other moms for the class party.
For longtime Sweetnicks’ readers, you may recognize Madeline’s friend, Payton.
We have since discovered that the quickest way to get 21 kids to shush is to blindfold them and make them feel disgusting things. Who knew?
One of my fellow Class Moms sent in these fruit kabobs that she made. It took her a few hours to make, but they were incredible!
Everyone at school gets in on the costumes, even the teachers, who have their own costume contest (they were playing the Monster Mash music as we paraded past) – love that!
Waiter, there’s a fly in my soup, and unfortunately, no Halloween mischief here. Total dive bomber. Ick.
Even my eight-year-old knows “one holiday at a time.” Hate this.
Would you believe this is edible? Blech.
Every year, I take a picture on this particular rock. Love tradition. Here are a few from years’ past:

Looks like an awesome weekend. I *heart* Madeline’s Strawberry Shortcake costume. That was my favorite doll when I was little.
Aww looks like a fun Halloween! they look so adorable in their costumes. I love that a class mom thought to do a fruit kebab for Halloween. Good thinking :P
What a fun Halloween weekend! Where did you stop for pizza?
Love the pics. Payton looks so grown up next to Maddie. They both are getting so big.
Those kabobs and cupcakes are precious! You have some creative moms for sure.
Great pictures. Good tradition.
