Posted Wednesday, but in actuality, worn on Saturday (Christmas). That counts, right?
I just read a quote by someone who said, “I love that I’m comfortable enough with myself to not always care how I look.” I get that. And vacillate somewhere around there. And in areas North and South of there too.
Nowadays, I feel like my “casual” looks are way more pulled together than they’ve ever been so I don’t have to care as much, you know? I don’t just throw on any old thing and go. I sift. I pick. I choose. I veto. And then I go. The choices are way different than years’ past. Happy. Fitted. Just all ’round better.
I pay more attention to designers now. Especially the ones that do affordable lines for the masses, like us. The above top and sweater is from Lauren Conrad’s line at Kohl’s, purchased during a 40% off sale a few weeks before Christmas. Her lines are classic and romantic without being overly frilly. Subtly girly without being in-your-face pink. The necklace? Is actually a multi-strand headband, also from Kohl’s, at the bargain basement price of $3.99. The pants, which you can’t really see well, are from Old Navy. Love the fits of their pants, especially their now-discontinued line of Weekender (also known as Boyfriend) jeans. A moment of silence, please.

Very cute outfit, I to love Kohls and Lauren Conrads outfits. =) Happy New Year!
Cute! I’ve been digging Lauren Conrad’s line at Kohl’s too. Totally agree with your assessment!
You look darling! I love LC.
You look awesome Cate! I think I’ve reached a point now where I care what I look like but I still am confident enough in whatever I put on that I don’t feel like it REALLY matters. Not that that makes any sense haha. I guess I mean that I care, but I don’t spend hours agonizing over it.
You look great!
Happy New Year.
You look fantastic!
