I had to shoot a short video segment for two potential jobs that are coming up, and decided to make the rainbow cake as part of it. It took the better part of two hours to make a one minute and thirty five second video. Fits of giggles notwithstanding.
No, I didn’t buy them. But what will they think of next?
Went out Saturday night and three of us showed up with some sort of ruffles. Clearly ahead of the trends.

The potholes in our county are insane, and I can’t wait for winter to be done so the state can get around to fixing them. The fence above? Had 23 hubcaps on it that had been victims of the pothole in front of their house.
Madeline is working on the letter R this week in school, so of course, Rainbow Covered Oreos have to make an appearance. Thank goodness for awesome friends who go above the call of duty and make these at 11:30 at night.
are those frozen bell peppers? if so – where did you find them?
Yep. Trader Joe’s. I usually use them for sausage and peppers, but tonight I picked out a bunch of green ones and used them for the Cuban Black Beans. Love a good shortcut!
OK it’s 10:30 at night and I’m starving and your food photos didn’t help the matter any!
Saw the Bare Minerals sign at the mall today – my favorite makeup!
Was supposed to go back today and take photos of the hubcaps – saw it last night on the way home – but didn’t make it back during the day to take it – darn!
Rainbow oreos – yum! Leave me some in the mailbox!
Kris – yeah, lots of food events this weekend. :) I’ve never used Bare Minerals, but a friend does. Loved the heart in their advertising. Hard to get a good shot of those hubcaps – such a hard location! Rainbow oreos will in the mailbox – just make sure to get ’em before the mailwoman. ;)
Between the rainbow-colored oreos and that taco-esque salad, I want to devour this post! This Saturday while I was running around the reservoir in Central Park, there was this pump blowing steam into the air and the way the light hit it, it looked like a rainbow. I totally thought of you.
I luv seeing the pictures from your weekends.
The hubcaps are hilarious! The pictures are divine!
