The weekend was such a blur. I don’t think we could have packed more into it if we tried, and thank goodness we didn’t. I can’t remember a more enjoyable weekend, though, especially my time with the kids. They totally know how to fill me up when I need it the most. We ended up going on a mini road trip, spur of the moment, after Nick’s soccer practice on Saturday. A picnic at sunset, punctuated by the most random, yet heartfelt, conversation with the kids on the long ride home. I could not possibly love these two kids more. Hope your weekend was equally awesome!

Mystery shop at the movie theater, which means a company paid me to go see a movie. Love that. Even better that Kevin James has a new movie coming out. Love him.
Her brother wouldn’t share his ball, you know, because he was PLAYING with his team, so she did the next best thing – went and stole someone else’s.

This is what happens when you ask for a picture. I have to get some ten pictures with faces like these and do serious bribing for one “normal” picture. And yes, I know it looks like she needs a hair cut, but we’re in the growing-out-the-bangs phase.
If that covered bridge wasn’t closed, I would have loved to have driven across it. Nick, however, was a-ok with the fact that we couldn’t.
We went to a First Communion and after party today, and our friends had this craft set up on one of the tables to keep the kids busy. I have never seen Madeline so engaged in one activity for so long. She was there for a good 20 minutes which, for her, is like an eternity. When she was done, she brought over what she made, and said she made it for me. Girl knows how to melt her Mama’s heart.

Your intro to this post made me so happy! Definitely the kind of weekend that makes you glow a little bit!
I love that Madeline “borrowed” the soccer balls…girl is resourceful!
Good pictures.
Lots of fun, glad it was a great one for ya’ll.
Your kids are a hoot.
Love all the color and blooms in your photos!
