When I saw this picture download this weekend, out of the 700+ I took since Friday, it instantly became one of my favorites. We celebrate my niece’s second birthday this weekend. While I was there, I was talking with one of the other guests about photography. She said she could tell it was more than just a hobby for me by watching me decide what pictures to take, and asked me what my favorite style was. For me, it’s all about the candids. I much prefer taking those over posed shots. I’d rather take my kids to a park, let them do their thing, while I sit back and take a million snaps. It’s real. It’s life. And for me (and my subjects), the most fun. In the above picture, Sadie was watching for party guests to arrive.
This next picture is another one of my favorites. I love Nick’s face in this one. Totally captures everything about that moment. Bliss. Pure, unadulterated bliss.
