Nick might have looked a little absent from the Weekend Photos in Review, but I assure you, he wasn’t. Just ask Sadie. Any time you needed to find him, just look for her. I love seeing how much she adores him, and how good he is with her. Too cute. Today, she turns two – Happy Birthday, Sadie!! xoxo
She was determined to make him wear her hat:
Then Eli got in on the action:
Love Nick’s face in these pictures as they share goldfish:
Nick saw this picture on my computer, and I said, “Look, isn’t it cute? She’s coming in to give you some love.” He responded with “Mom, she was trying to choke me!” And she was, of course, but in a playful manner. No almost-nine-year-olds were harmed in the taking of these pictures.
She pitched a small scale fit when she was told she couldn’t sleep with Nick:
Looks like someone sneaks out of her crib to watch repeats of Law & Order … that darn choke-hold again.
Trying to get Nick to come with her:
An astute reader, ahem, noticed that I missed my Project 365 photo yesterday. Indeed I did. Kris called it the “bonus photo,” and I think that’s the new name going forward. That way I don’t have to worry about looking up what number I left off on, and finding all the pics for the week or two I missed when my computer got fried. So now TWO bonus photos from yesterday, and one from today.
This is the little girl who did not need a nap, yet fell asleep on the floor of her playroom yesterday afternoon. Good thing Callie was there to watch over her. It certainly doesn’t LOOK comfortable, but she slept there for over two hours. You know, because she wasn’t tired.
This, by the way, contrary to popular kid-belief, is NOT an emergency. When the kids were done with their baths last night, I was met with shrieks, “Mom, come here, it’s an EMERGENCY.” I know better. It’s not my first year being a mom. Me and my sprained ankle did not go running. But it was quite a pretty sight when I got there. Apparently someone forgot to mix up those bath coloring things.
Love me some Icees in the summertime. The best ones are the original frozen cokes that my sister and I used to get every summer in Cape May from a little door on a side street by the beach. I can’t wait to introduce the kids to that stand this year. Hoping it’s still there. In the meantime, Burger King will have to do.
Frozen Coca-Cola Icees are the BEST!
Love the pic of Maddie sleeping on the floor. Adorable!
This is how you absolutely know that Nick is a great kid. Just looking at those pictures, it really shines through!
Adorable kids!
Thanks for the bonus photos!
Very sweet photos! And I’m totally with you on the frozen Cokes — I can’t pass a 7-Eleven without ducking in to get one. No other flavor will ever, ever compare. Growing up, Slurpees were our “treat” for being good — and they always make me think of after-school trips with my dad and little sister.
Icee’s are wonderful.
