One of Nick’s friends, Katie, rocking the honor of being their school’s Safety Patrol Captain.
Madeline puts serious time into practicing her writing of the letters.
See? Are those not fantastic letter A’s? This year, her teacher is teaching the alphabet in a screwy way. The first few letters were in order, and now she’s all over the place. Something about some of the kids can’t draw circles, so she’s grouping the letters by how they’re drawn. I am so not a fan of this method because I think it’s crazy confusing.
My oldest niece, Sophie, is this many.
And lastly, before I forget, Maxwell is competing in Animal Planet’s Virtual Pet Parade. The winner gets to do a blog post on Animal Planet’s web site, and I know I don’t have to tell you how cool that would be. Go on and click right here to see the competing pups. If you happen to think Maxwell is the cutest (as we certainly do!), give him an awesome score. He’s the golden with the black-and-white polka dotted hat. We have to give him some sort of kudos for the heck we put him through!
Looks like you guys had a wonderful weekend! I love, love , love those shoes!
Yay for the rainbow mask! :-) That is kind of weird going out of order…though I know we went out of order when I learned cursive. She holds her pencil like my brother holds his!
Love the sparkly peep toe shoes!
Lainey is learning to write and it’s a challenging process!
Teachers sometimes do the weirdest most inane things. Like…why doesn’t she just first spend time teaching them how to draw circles? I’m sure Maddie will figure it out in the end, though.
