Madeline loved, loved, loved her unicorn costume (and a big thanks, again, to Pottery Barn Kids for hooking her up). It kept her warm, and was totally in keeping with her fun-loving free-spirited personality.
“Mommy, I made you a picture, but my hands got a little messy.”
This little girl used to live across the street from our old house, but we’re still in the same neighborhood. Now that she’s in Kindergarten, she rides the bus with Nick and has developed a little crush on him, which is super cute. Well, for me to watch. Maybe not so much for Nick.
Terrible picture, but the only reasonable one I have of the kids. We didn’t get our annual picture on this specific rock on Friday night, so I’m making them dress up again tomorrow night so I can get it. We’ve done it for a bazillion years and I’m not missing one, darn it.
The things you see on the highway sometimes… I was driving so I made poor Mystic rummage around for my camera.
Saturday I said good-bye to my car. I didn’t cry, I swear, but I sure do miss that car. Tons of awesome memories in it.
Dairy Queen has the coolest ketchup packets ever. Mystic grabbed extra for me, and then took over camera duty.
Love me some polka-dotted turkeys!
And, of course, a good sunset.
Madeline is good at the damsel in distress role when Mystic’s youngest son is with us, and since he is the youngest in his family, he seems to like that there’s someone younger than him to dote on. Win win.
what kind of new car did you get???
also, chik-fil-a has those ketchups too!! the best!!!!!!!
Have yet to visit chik-fil-a EVER, but it’s totally on our list, and now seriously get a bump up knowing they have those ketchups – thanks for the heads up. New car = Explorer. A bit smaller than my old beast, but waaaay better on gas.
Looks like a fun weekend. Hope y’all have dug out from all the snow.
Haha Madeline’s going to have plenty of guys opening doors for her in the future…I just know it. And she makes for a cutie pie unicorn! Nick looks quite regal in his costume as well. Love the hair.
what did you replace the truck with? a white/off white winter coat for Madeline??? how long will that stay clean. LOLOLOL
Totally thinking positively on the off-white coat. ;)
LOVE, love, love the unicorn costume. I am going to have my kids dress up after school today since I totally forgot my camera on Saturday. Must have the annual Halloween photo … oh, and are you sure that’s a turkey? The zoo we go to has them, and I think it’s some kind of a peahen or pheasant.
That’s a guinea fowl. My parents keep them for fun on their ranch. They are great at eating bugs, especially wood ticks, but they sure are loud when they want to be! Now if only we had yogurt like that around rural MN- looks yummy!
