The kids have made several Christmas Lists over the last few weeks, but swear that this latest one from last weekend is the final, final, final version. Nick very kindly took dictation for Madeline’s “must haves.” I think I might need translation on a few of the items.
They both desperately want cameras (REAL ones, thankyouverymuch!). It appears I may have created a monster. Or two.
Nick had his holiday concert tonight. A super short one, but I always love hearing the kids sing Christmas songs, particularly any program that ends with Joy to the World. He did everything he could to stay out of sight of my camera. Apparently it’s not cool anymore. Whatever.
After the concert, we hit a few nearby neighborhoods to check out the Christmas displays. For locals, you’ll recognize the below picture as that infamous house in Dover.
If you look carefully in the center of this picture (a little lower than the exact middle), you’ll see Madeline’s hands on a rope, using a pulley system to send her letter up to Santa Claus.
Our new discovery was a street in Mountain Lakes, where all the houses join in the decorating effort.

Afternoons in the O’Malley household are pretty darn rough.
Love all the lights! What fun to look at the Christmas lists…don’t know if I ever made a written list or not.
They just want to be like mommy! Super cute.
brilliant idea to document these. your kiddos will love seeing these when they get older. :)
both of my boys love borrowing my cameras… I know they’d like one of their own, too. I see that the iPad came off of Nick’s list, but the iTouch still made it to this one. I do find it funny that he’s ok with gift cards or money, too! lol!
