Hello my loves. Tonight, it’s a random photo dump. The kids are getting over being sick, and apparently it was my turn today. Hoping the Christmas Cold has its way with me and vanishes before Saturday. I think I can… I think I can…
In Madeline’s class, each child has a chart and they get stickers for being good listeners, helpers, and such. I noticed that Madeline was in the lead last week, neck and neck with another boy, and last Thursday, she got her last sticker and was the first to complete the whole chart, netting her the fun of choosing a prize from the prize box (that sparkly lizard bracelet in the picture). Quite proud of my little rule follower!
We’ve been doing a lot of holiday crafting lately, and this string of lanterns went up tonight. Mighty festive.
I spotted this star garland at Goodwill last year and really debated about buying them. They were only six dollars, but tight budgets and an effort to live simply meant that it took two other stops in to admire them before I forked over the bills.

In all the years that Nick has been in school, and now Madeline, they have never brought home a Jewish ornament. Of course there were three years of Catholic school in the mix. This week, Madeline came home with a Star of David ornament. Glittery and sparkly. I thought it was funny that the first time I’m dating someone Jewish, the Star of David comes home. I hung it on the tree for her, and then she directed me that it was supposed to go on the top. Mystic should feel right at home. Well, between that and the latkes that are being added to the Christmas Eve menu, I’m set.
Until tomorrow… xoxo
ha! I was a little rule follower too – how fun!
Love all of the decorations – I need to take some pics of mine before the weekend!
Yay for Madeline! She (and you) must be so proud. I know I am. I’m going to brag to all my friends about her today.
Your decorations are so pretty! And YUM to latkes on Christmas. I think I’m going to have make some actually…that’s a pretty genius idea.
Feel better, love!
Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukkah!
Have a wonderful Christmas and wish Mystic a Happy Hanukkah as well! Enjoy the latkes! I’ve made them twice this week and will make more tomorrow when the rest of the family joins us.
