Growing up, the bottles of Centrum One-a-Day were ever-present on our kitchen table, right next to the salt and pepper shakers. I always associated Centrum with One-a-Day. It turns out, there’s way more to them than just that one product.
Ever since I moved out of my parents’ home, I have always taken a multi-vitamin. It’s a no brainer. But once I started taking a serious look at being more healthy, clean eating, and working out religiously, I became a bit of a vitamin freak. Hey, you’ve seen my bottle collection, right? Nick is in charge of vitamin disbursement during dinner … the fluoride one from the pediatrician/dentist, the Vitamin C ones, the fiber ones, the multi-vitamin. All those other ones are mine.
The folks at Centrum have a new line of dietary supplements though, that I was interested in learning a bit more about, ProNutrients. The line includes Omega-3, Probiotic, and a Fruit & Veggie one. All designed for good health. From their own mouths:
- New ProNutrients Omega-3 provides two of the most scientifically studied Omega-3s (according to Eicosapentaenoic Acid/EPA and Docosahexaenoic Acid/DHA standards) in an ultra-concentrated MiniGel. Since the MiniGels are smaller than the sizes of most brands’ softgels, they are easy to swallow. They help support heart health, brain structure and eye structure.
- ProNutrients Fruit & Veggie each MiniTab of new harnesses the power equal to a serving of a blend of fruits and vegetables. It is 100 percent naturally sourced from grapes, blueberries, raspberries, plums, carrots and tomatoes. Each MiniTab helps support cell protection and general health.
- New ProNutrients Probiotic is a unique blended powder containing two of the most scientifically studied probiotics. The individually wrapped packets are designed to ensure the bacteria arrive active and ready to work in the digestive tract. ProNutrients Probiotic helps support immune health and digestive balance.
They also have a “specialist” line designed if you want to target something a little more specific like prenatal, vision, energy, and heart. Um, energy? Yes please! The company was kind enough to send me a package of their new supplements a few weeks ago. It’s hard to tell how it has affected me and my overall health since I also started working out and recommitted to clean eating around the same time, but suffice it to say, so far, so good. And quite frankly, anything extra that will solidify my immune system, especially during this harsh, cold winter, I am all for.
And now for a quick giveaway. They have a super fast survey for you to take right here. Less than three minutes, and no registration necessary. After you enter your basics, it will give you simple ways to incorporate more of what you’re missing. For example, how to get more fruits and veggies into your diet, more omega-3s, simple ways to exercise more, and so on. Go take the test, and come back and tell me what you’re going to do with the results. Each comment is entered into the Centrum giveaway, and the winner gets a free Centrum product of their choice. Yay! Contest closes at 5 pm EST tomorrow. Tweet for extra entries.
(You can also grab a $5.00 off coupon on their Facebook page right here.)
This post was part of a Centrum ProNutrients campaign hosted by One2One Network. I received nutritional product and compensation. While all opinions stated are my own, I make no claims about Centrum ProNutrients as a product or its effectiveness.

When I saw this pebble on the steps leading to our front door this afternoon, I went back to snap a picture. Just in case you didn’t see it as well as I did, I helped you out a bit. Seemed fitting for today. “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.” — Martin Luther King, Jr.
Apparently dinner at the O’Malley household requires a punk rock look with a heavy hand of sparkly aqua glitter eye shadow. Thank goodness it was decidedly less heavy handed for her morning make-up routine.
i need to drink more water
I am going to start taking vitamins, eat healthier and drink more H20!

I’m so not a big vitamin person ( i only take calcium w/vit D to avoid any future stress fractures) and really prefer to get my vitamins from food. I just took the little survey…and apparently they have no plan or recommendations for me. i’m not really sure what that means…lol.
I totally rock out in the glitter eyeshadow for dinner. Maddie knows where it’s at. :P
Drink more water, eat more fruits & veggies, exercise (when the ankle is better) and restart taking the vitamins that are in my closet
I was speaking with a pharmacist a couple of weeks ago, and she said many people take too much of certain vitamins (some are harmful in high doses). And, more doesn’t always mean better.
She recommended that I shouldn’t take Vit C along with my multi — she said no prob if I want to do it periodically. Wasnt’ sure if it was to avoid too much Vit C, or if it simply isn’t necessary when you go over a certain amount. Hmmm, will ask again.
If nothing else, worth checking with professional on recommended amounts.
I’m deficient in Vitamin D and will look for supplement sources ? *Thanks* for the giveaway!
