When a friend asked if the kids and I wanted to do dinner and a Valentine’s Day craft, we were in like Flynn. Valentine’s Day is just a few days away (and totally one of my favorite holidays), but you still have enough time to whip up one of these uber-cute t-shirts for your own little ones. All you need is a solid colored t-shirt (we found ours at Wal-Mart and Michael’s), fabric paints, a sponge brush, and a few doilies. And I bet you have some of those supplies on hand already.
The method is super simple. We affixed the doily to the front of the shirt with a little bit of tape underneath, and let the kids use the paint to go over the doily, using it as a stencil. Although a doily is pretty feminine, I didn’t want Nick to feel left out, so I improvised. I cut the heart from the center of the doily and used that as a stencil. Using a wide sponge brush, he made his look a little more like graffiti or street art.
Pizza, salad, dessert, and a quick and fun craft to celebrate the upcoming holiday. Perfection.

Dessert.
Will be back here on Saturday night with a book review. Although I needed to cut back a bit on my schedule, I miss it sometimes too, so there will be a bonus post every now and then. See you then.
A fun time..thank you for joining us! I’m really liking the way Nick’s came out!
That is an AWESOME idea! The shirts look fabulous. I kinda want one for myself.
Those t-shirts turned out really good! They did a good job.
Hope ya’ll have a wonderful weekend. Know that you will.

I kinda like Nick’s the best… of course, I’ve got 2 boys would not go for a heart on their shirts at all… but, I’d wear it! :)
Love the shirts! Wondering if I could get crafty and do a grown-up version for myself . . .
