Scout meetings and sunsets. Soccer and spontaneity. Hair cuts and sleepovers. New yogurt places and hearts galore. The weekend? It was good.
They would have stayed here for hours if I let them. But it was all I could do to keep Madeline on the “right” side of the fence.
Do you see the pizza bubble heart around the center of the picture? We sure did. Ok, I did.
Mystic usually cuts Nick’s hair nowadays, but he was tied up today, and the shaggy look couldn’t wait. Went to a new place and for $14, Nick got an awesome cut with a free neck, scalp and back massage, and a steamed towel treatment. Spoiled rotten, and the place is only for guys.
I texted this one to Beth and Mystic and by the time I got my camera out, it was gone. This heart was from the sunlight in my office on Friday afternoon.
When Nick was Madeline’s age, there were two words he always had trouble saying. Animal was pronounced aMiNal, and bottle was balo. With Madeline, there is only one. Bananas are blanas. Too cute. We dropped Nick off for a scout meeting on Friday night and she was suddenly desperate for blanas. With an hour to kill, we went off to satisfy her craving, and she had polished off two by the time we went back to pick Nick up an hour later.
I need to find a hair place like THAT but just for girls! Hair salons seem to be skimping on the massages lately. Nick’s haircut looks awesome! Loving all the random hearts.
Your weekend photos are beautiful. I especially like the “chairs on the dock” photo. I admire your attention to details on the pizza pic. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at a slice of pizza that long before I ate it! :)
Awww, love the hearts! So pretty.
Where did you go to see the horses? We have been trying to find a place where the offer rides to kids in the area. Looks like a fabulous weekend!
Patsy – I promised Madeline we’d go find horses and cows on Sunday, so we headed to Sussex County. Those particular horses are off 206. Definitely lots of farms in the area of Space Farms. Next up is for both of them to go riding. I just heard of a fun dude ranch in the Poconos (I pinned on my Day Trips board on Pinterest). Also Seton Hackney (Morristown) does riding for kids. There have been a few offers recently on Groupon for horse rides, so if you’re not subscribed, be sure to sign up. Still kicking myself for missing the $39/2 30-minute trail ride that Seton ran recently. Hope that helps!
