Just a quick one tonight, folks.
Super simple lunch for the kiddos tomorrow. Homemade orange Jell-o (way cheaper than the pre-made stuff), clementines, BabyBel cheese (and although you can’t see it in the picture, I etched their initials into the wax), Soppresatta, wheat crackers, and a small piece of chocolate (a surprise I bought over the weekend from the store pictured here).
The details:
These lunchbox containers are called EasyLunchboxes, which I bought a few years ago from Amazon. You can get a set of four for $13, which is a great deal. They are super strong, are very easy to open and close, BPA-free, and perfect for little fingers to manipulate.
The little pick in Madeline’s oranges is from BentoUSA. She definitely looks forward to seeing what little pick appears in her lunchbox each day. I need to find some that are a little more age-appropriate for Nick’s lunchboxes, so he doesn’t feel left out. If you’re looking for fun picks to include in your children’s lunches, look into cupcake picks and rings as well. You usually get a lot more for your dollar, and by thinking outside the box, you’ll have more selections to choose from as well. For example, we have this shark assortment and this beach collection — too cute, and you get 12 for $3 (with free shipping to boot). And, of course, the picks can do double-duty when you’re decorating cupcakes as well!

Cool lunches Mom!
Happy weekend. I’m out tomorrow.
We’ve been using these boxes too, they’re great! I just ordered some cute picks from that bento site -thank you! :)
